Holbeach United drew 1-1 away at Dussindale Rovers after Jordan Oldham’s goal, following a 4-2 home defeat by Whittlesey Athletic. The Tigers return home on Saturday to face Needham Market Reserves, with the first 150 supporters promised a free pint and pie.

Spalding man warned he could face prison after 206g cannabis found at The Meadows flat

Thomas Parr, 28, pleaded guilty to possessing 206g of cannabis after police found the drug at his flat in The Meadows, Spalding. Lincoln Crown Court heard the offence breached a 20-month suspended prison sentence imposed in June 2025. Parr has been granted unconditional bail while further reports are prepared ahead of sentencing on September 4.

Spalding town centre draws more than 5,000 for music and biker event

A BID-organised free event brought live music, a major motorcycle display and thousands of visitors to Spalding town centre on Sunday. The BID is now planning further activities, including Countdown to Christmas and a month-long festival next May.

Pinchbeck church launches £25,000 roof appeal after nave ceiling damage

St Mary’s Church in Pinchbeck has reopened after being closed for most of July, but now needs to raise £25,000 for urgent roof repairs. The Grade I listed church will launch its appeal at a community open day on August 31, when its restored clock is also due to chime for the first time in years.
