Royal Mail Cart, Tigers Club and Services Club B have booked their places in the semi-finals of the Dewhursts Trophies Pinchbeck & District Summer Darts League Knockout Cup.
Eight teams were involved in the third round, with three matches completed and the remaining tie postponed. The results included a dominant home performance from Royal Mail Cart, a strong singles comeback by Tigers Club and a closely fought contest at Services Club B.
Royal Mail Cart produces emphatic win
Royal Mail Cart delivered the most decisive result of the round, defeating Pinchbeck FC A 9-0 at home.
Dan Gent was among the standout performers, producing a 108 checkout and a 17-dart leg. Stef Atudosie added a 104 finish and an 18-dart leg, while Chris Fidler also impressed with a 14-dart leg.
The result sent Royal Mail Cart through to the last four without dropping a game against Pinchbeck FC A.
Tigers recover after pairs matches
Tigers Club also secured a semi-final place with a 7-2 home victory over Consti Club B.
The hosts initially trailed 2-1 after the pairs matches, but turned the tie around by winning all six singles. Jay Lee led the response with a 180, a 115 checkout and an 18-dart leg during his singles win.
Will Cliff also contributed a 16-dart leg in his singles match as Tigers completed the comeback and moved into the semi-finals.
Services Club B edge Division C leaders
The closest contest took place at Services Club B, where Division C leaders Pinchbeck FC C were beaten 6-3 despite playing with a man short.
Pinchbeck FC C lost the opening pairs game but then moved into a 2-1 lead. Andy Mason, Dave Norbury and Tony Clark subsequently swung the match back in Services Club B’s favour.
Kenzie Foster then beat Jonny Pell 2-1 to level the scores. Ady Smith received a walkover before Steve Rawding won the final singles, completing the 6-3 victory for Services Club B.
Fourth semi-final place still open
The final semi-final place has not yet been decided. The Lincoln Arms A versus Consti Club C fixture was postponed, and the supplied report does not give a date or time for the rearranged match.
The completed third-round results were Royal Mail Cart 9, Pinchbeck FC A 0; Tigers Club 7, Consti Club B 2; and Services Club B 6, Pinchbeck FC C 3.
Lincoln Arms D strengthens Division B lead
There was also a Division B match, where leaders Lincoln Arms D moved another step closer to the title with a 19-8 home win over Consti Club Z in a rearranged fixture.
Tony Spinks and Luke Rhodes both hit 180s for Lincoln Arms D. Stacey Banister recorded a 17-dart leg for the Lincoln side.
