Geno Washington to return to Spalding for BBQ 67 anniversary project

Soul legend Geno Washington and the Ram Jam Band will perform at the South Holland Centre in November, almost 60 years after Washington headlined Spalding’s landmark BBQ 67 festival. The concert will launch a six-month oral-history project ahead of 60th-anniversary events in May 2027.

Police appeal after motorcyclist injured in hit-and-run outside Springfields

Lincolnshire Police is appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a car collided with a motorcyclist at the Holbeach Road roundabout outside Springfields in Spalding on Sunday, August 23. The driver failed to stop, and the rider, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening or life-altering.
