Moulton’s Harvest and Tractor Weekend is returning for two days of displays, entertainment and family activities on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September.
The free event will be based around a field off Austendyke Road, with attractions planned across both days. Visitors will be able to see displays of machinery, remote-controlled vehicles, speedway bikes, fairground organs and steam engines.
The programme is intended to offer activities for people of all ages, with games and stalls at the event site. A free shuttle bus will ferry visitors to the field from the town centre, giving people travelling from Spalding and elsewhere an alternative to making the journey by car.
Saturday programme in Moulton
Saturday will include a craft fair in the community centre and village hall. The village will also host the weekend’s tractor parade, which is scheduled to travel through the town after leaving the event field at around 1.30pm.
A Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast is planned for the Saturday. The appearance is not guaranteed, however, as it will depend on the weather.
The organisers have also arranged live music at the field throughout both days. The All Included Music Group will perform different sets during the day, offering a variety of genres and styles.
Music and attractions across the weekend
Saturday’s performers will include Hannah Priestly, alongside Dunne and Rusted. The event report notes that Dunne and Rusted were popular when they appeared at last year’s weekend.
Alongside the music programme, the event will bring together agricultural and transport-related displays with fairground attractions, stalls, games and craft activities. The combination of machinery, steam engines, speedway bikes and remote-controlled vehicles is expected to provide the central focus at the Austendyke Road field, while the parade and craft fair will extend the Saturday programme into the village.
