A power cut affecting around 1,000 homes caused traffic disruption around Spalding and Pinchbeck on Wednesday, August 12, with motorists reporting that traffic lights near Wardentree Lane and Wygate Park were not working.
The incident was reported at about 11.30am. The loss of the signals led to long delays on local roads, according to reports cited by The Spalding and South Holland Voice.

Travel around the area was already being affected by closures on Park Road and parts of Pinchbeck Road near Wygate Road. Those roads were closed because of roadworks before the power cut caused further problems.
