Spalding Grammar School students are celebrating after achieving more than 425 A Levels, with pupils securing places on courses ranging from medicine and engineering to architecture, graphic design and biomedical sciences.
The school said many subjects recorded more than half of grades at A to C. Results highlighted by the school included 83 per cent of grades at A to C in history, 82 per cent in economics, 81 per cent in chemistry and 79 per cent in art.
Design technology recorded 69 per cent of grades at A to C, while mathematics reached 68 per cent, law 67 per cent and PE 71 per cent. Every student taking German and Spanish achieved grades from A to C, while economics recorded 84 per cent and French 83 per cent at those grades.
Students preparing for a wide range of futures
Among the individual results, Dylon Gumunyu achieved three A* grades and is planning to study economic studies and global sustainable development.
Harrison Turner achieved four A Levels at A/A and is planning to study mathematics. Charlie Gabriel achieved three A Levels at A/A and is planning to study chemical engineering, while Milosz Mazur achieved three A Levels at A/A and is planning to study biomedical sciences.
Marco Mendoza also achieved three A Levels at A/A and plans to study biomedical sciences. Rupert Miller achieved three A Levels at A/A and is planning to study graphic design.
Other results included four A Levels at A*/B for Finn Warren, who is planning to study architecture. Corin Jackson achieved four A grades and is planning to study medicine, while Arjun Madhavan achieved four A Levels at A/B and is also planning to study medicine.
Isaac Mygind achieved three A Levels at A/A and is planning to study sustainability and environmental management.
Headteacher praises pupils and staff
Headteacher Michele Anderson said the Year 13 students had shown determination throughout their time in the Sixth Form.
“We are very proud of our Year 13 students and the determination they have shown throughout their Sixth Form journey. “Over the past two years, they have demonstrated resilience, maturity and commitment—qualities that extend far beyond examination results. “Every student should be proud of all they have accomplished, and we warmly congratulate them on reaching this important milestone.”
Ms Anderson said the students’ results reflected their commitment and hard work, with support from parents, carers and school staff. She also praised teachers for helping students prepare for their examinations and their next steps.
The school said students are moving on to employment, gap years, degree apprenticeships and higher education. The overwhelming majority have secured places at their first-choice university.
Planned subjects and destinations also include zoology, fashion marketing, accountancy and finance, game development, children’s nursing, physics and psychology.
Ms Anderson said the range of choices reflected the pupils’ talents and aspirations, as well as the variety of opportunities available after the age of 18.
