A man who exposed himself to three victims in Spalding has been jailed for 10 months after pleading guilty to three sexual offences.
Slavcho Iliev, 34, of Monks Road, Lincoln, admitted three counts of intentionally exposing his genitals to cause alarm or distress under the Sexual Offences Act 2003. He was sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court on Wednesday, September 8.
The three incidents happened last year on March 3, March 17 and April 18. Lincolnshire Police said the vehicle Iliev was driving had been reported to officers.
How police linked the incidents
The investigation involved officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team and Criminal Investigation Department. Police said CCTV from across the area was reviewed and analysed, allowing officers to link suspected related incidents and develop a picture of the suspect’s movements and behaviour.
“This was an excellent example of how Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) officers and CID worked closely behind the scenes, with NPT officers working tirelessly to review and analyse CCTV footage from across the area.”
A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said officers used their local knowledge of crime patterns to identify lines of enquiry and safeguard people who might have been at risk. Police also worked with local businesses and other partners to track the suspect’s movements.
“Working closely with local businesses and partners, they tracked the suspect’s movements and, when he returned to the county, swiftly detained him before any further offences could be committed.”

Police message to report incidents
Detective Constable Helen Rochford said the case reached court because victims reported what had happened. She urged people to tell police about this type of behaviour, saying reports can help officers hold offenders accountable and take steps to prevent further offending.
“This offender has been brought before the courts because victims had the confidence to report these incidents.”
She said police recognised that some people might underestimate the impact of this kind of offending, but stressed that every report was important. Information about the timing and location of an incident, along with descriptions of a suspect, their clothing and their vehicle, could help officers identify and arrest those responsible.
“Details such as when and where the incident occurred, along with descriptions of the suspect and their clothing, and of their vehicle, can play a vital role in helping police identify and apprehend those responsible.”
Alongside the prison sentence, Iliev was made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. He must also sign the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.
Police said the reporting of incidents can help prevent further offending and contribute to keeping women and girls safe in local communities.
