Students at Spalding Academy will be able to collect their GCSE and Level 2 BTEC results from 8am on Thursday 20 August 2026, the school has confirmed.
The academy has published its exam-results-day information for summer 2026, setting out how students and parents can raise queries with examination boards, request a review of marking and collect certificates after results day.
Results enquiries must go through the academy
Anyone who wants to make an enquiry to an exam board about their results must do so through Spalding Academy. The school has provided the email address [email protected] for those enquiries.
Students and parents can also access the academy’s Year 11 Exam Results Day Letter, which contains additional information about the arrangements. The school has also pointed families towards a Joint Council for Qualifications infographic explaining the post-results process.
Important dates for reviews and certificates
Requests for the academy’s exam-results review services must be submitted by email by Wednesday 2 September 2026. This deadline is needed so the school can complete the administration required before the examination-board deadline of Thursday 24 September 2026.
Students considering a review of marking should be aware that an outcome can take up to 20 calendar days. The academy says review-of-marking fees are also relevant when deciding whether to use the service, although the published information does not give a specific fee for each request.
GCSE and BTEC certificates are expected to be available for collection from the school around November or December 2026. The academy says it will notify students when collection is possible.
There is no charge for collecting certificates from the school. However, students who fail to collect them and later need to order replacements or certificates from the examination body may face a cost of between £40 and £70, depending on the exam board. The school says delivery can take up to six weeks.
Why students should keep their certificates
Spalding Academy is advising students to keep their physical certificates. They may be needed as proof of achievement when applying for jobs, colleges or universities.
The school warns that being unable to provide evidence of qualifications could delay the start of employment or enrolment at university. Students and families should therefore note the August results date, keep the review deadlines and wait for the academy’s notification before collecting certificates later in the year.
