Students at Spalding Academy are celebrating their GCSE results after the school said their hard work and dedication had been rewarded.

The results were announced on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Alongside English and mathematics, the strongest performance was recorded in art and design, health and social care, information technology, and travel and tourism, where students achieved grades seven to nine, or equivalent.

Subjects showing improvement

The school also reported a notable increase in grades nine to five in sports science and statistics. The results give students a range of routes for their next stage, including sixth form, college and apprenticeships.

Mr Glenn Martin, headteacher at Spalding Academy, said the school had been pleased to celebrate with students and thanked parents and carers for their continued support during their time at the school.

“It has been wonderful to celebrate with our students today as their hard work and dedication has been rewarded.
“I would also like to express my thanks to all parents and carers for their continuous support throughout their time at school.”

Continuing education

Some Spalding Academy students will continue their education within the trust after achieving the results needed to progress to SLAT Sixth Form at Bourne Academy.

Mr Martin wished all students well as they move into the next phase of their education and said he hoped they would remain in contact with the school.

“I am pleased so many students from Spalding Academy will continue their education in the trust as they have achieved the results to progress to our SLAT Sixth Form at Bourne Academy.
“I wish all our students the very best in the next phase of their educational endeavours whether this be sixth form, college or an apprenticeship, and I hope they will keep in touch with the school in the future.”
