The Dewhursts Trophies Pinchbeck & District Summer League is heading towards its conclusion, with teams across all three divisions battling to finish the season strongly.

With the top two Division A sides not in action, the focus moved to the fight at the bottom of the table. Kirton Leisure beat Green Dragon A 15-12, helped by Scott Williams’ 3-0 singles win, which included a 180, legs of 15 and 18 darts, and eight scores of 100 or more. Kiaran Grove also hit a 180 for Green Dragon, while Callum Templeman recorded a 101 checkout.

Jamie Robson produced a 14-dart leg during his 3-0 victory for Kirton Leisure, adding eight scores of 100 or more. Nathan Hill secured the overall result by beating Jon Goor 2-1 in the final game.

Close Division A contests

Consti Club C came from behind to beat Pinchbeck FC B 15-12 at home. Pinchbeck FC B led 5-4 after the pairs, but 3-0 wins for Jordan Philpott and Josh Faulkner changed the match. Philpott hit a 180, while Paul Faulkner also recorded one for Consti before losing 2-1 to Tom Elderkin, who produced a 15-dart leg.

Connor Mackenzie hit a 180 for Pinchbeck FC B in the pairs alongside Mark Dixon, with the partnership also recording an 18-dart leg.

Tigers Club edged Services Club B 14-13 in another tight match. Services led 5-4 after the pairs, but wins for William Cliff and Ash Allen increased Tigers’ advantage. Tony Clark and Dave Norbury then won 2-1, while Steve Rawding added a 3-0 victory to bring the match level at 12-12.

With the deciding singles tied at one leg apiece, Claire Brookin held her nerve to beat Ady Smith and secure victory for the visitors.

In the Division A table, Lincoln Arms A remained top on 185 points from 10 matches, having won nine. Royal Mail Cart had 178 points from an unbeaten 10-match record, although its fixture with Lincoln Arms A was postponed. Tigers Club sat third with 169 points from 11 matches.

Lincoln Arms D extend Division B lead

Lincoln Arms D continued their strong Division B form with a 15-12 win away at Consti Club Z. Mick Atkin produced a 132 finish for the home side.

Green Dragon Z missed the chance to close the gap on the leaders after losing 18-9 at Consti Club B. Shane Jones hit two 180s for Green Dragon, while Callum Day added another.

Pinchbeck FC A stayed in contention for a top-two finish by beating Consti Club D 16-11 at home. Nick Collins, John Robinson and Tommy Lee won the final three singles 2-1 for Consti Club D, but their late run was not enough to overturn the deficit.

Drayman’s Arms B won two meetings with Drayman’s Arms Q on consecutive days. The B side took the first match 15-12 before winning the second 14-13. Jason Chilvers hit two 180s for the Q team; Connor Newton hit a 180 and produced a 125 finish for Drayman’s Arms B.

Lincoln Arms D led Division B with 161 points from 10 matches, including nine wins. Green Dragon Z were second on 152 points from 11 matches, followed by Pinchbeck FC A on 144 from 11.

Pinchbeck FC C strengthen Division C position

Pinchbeck FC C extended their lead in Division C with a 17-10 home win over Consti Club A. The leaders had built a 15-3 advantage before Malc Mumby and Kev Bailey won 3-0 for Consti Club A. Kenzie Foster then won the final game 2-1 for Pinchbeck FC C.

Services Club A claimed a narrow 14-13 win at Drayman’s Arms A. Tony O’Driscoll, Steve Booden and Acker Kelk all won 2-1 to secure the overall result, before Jack Lawson won the final singles 3-0 for Drayman’s Arms.

Pinchbeck FC C led Division C with 135 points from nine matches, including seven wins. Services Club A were second on 102 points from seven matches, with Lincoln Arms C third on 97. Green Dragon C and Consti Club A followed on 94 and 92 points respectively.

Green Dragon C and Lincoln Arms C had byes in the latest round. With the league approaching its conclusion, the remaining fixtures will decide the final positions and determine which teams complete the campaign with promotion hopes or improved finishes.
