A Spalding theatre company is preparing to bring Greek mythology, adventure and live rock music to the South Holland Centre with a new production based on Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson stories.
The young performers of Act II Theatre Company of Spalding will present The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, a show built around the question of what might happen if the Greek gods were real — and if one of them was Percy Jackson’s deadbeat, absent father.
The story follows Percy, Annabeth and Grover as they set out to discover the identity of the Lightning Thief. Their journey combines mythology with humour, magic, spectacle and music, giving the local cast a large-scale adventure to perform for audiences in Spalding.
