Lincoln Arms have retained their title in the Spalding and District Ladies’ Darts League after a strong campaign that saw them win 13 of their 16 matches.
The champions finished the season with 29 points, securing first place ahead of Tigers, who took second with eight wins and 23 points.
Final league positions
- First: Lincoln Arms – 29 points
- Second: Tigers – 23 points
- Third: Holbeach United Services Club – 16 points
- Fourth: Horse and Groom A
- Fifth: Horse and Groom B
Holbeach United Services Club completed the top three with 16 points. Horse and Groom A and Horse and Groom B finished fourth and fifth respectively.
Winter season teams invited
The league’s annual general meeting for the winter season is due to take place on September 8 at Tigers Social Club, with the meeting starting at 7.30pm.
New teams are welcome to join the league, provided they have five players or more. Anyone interested in entering a team can contact Trish Cunningham by email at [email protected].
League matches are played on Tuesday evenings, beginning at 8pm. Each match consists of five singles games and one doubles game.
The latest result gives Lincoln Arms another league success in the Spalding area, while the upcoming meeting provides an opportunity for existing and prospective teams to prepare for the winter fixtures.
