Lincoln Arms A strengthened their position at the top of Division A with a commanding 21-6 away victory at Pinchbeck FC B.

The result leaves Lincoln Arms A leading the division after eight matches, with seven wins and 148 points scored. Their only defeat so far has come alongside a points total that puts them clear at the top of the published table.

Pinchbeck FC B limited to one success

Pinchbeck FC B’s only success came in the pairs, where John Gilman and Tom Elderkin won a match that included a 17-dart leg. Elderkin also hit a 180.

Lincoln Arms A produced several standout moments of their own. Sam Roberts and Dean Murray each helped deliver a 17-dart leg in the pairs, Paul Blow added another 17-dart leg in the singles, and Steve Stancer struck a 180.

The defeat leaves Pinchbeck FC B without a win from seven matches. The side has scored 70 points and conceded 119 in the Division A table.

Royal Mail Cart keeps pace

Second-placed Royal Mail Cart kept up the pressure with a 17-10 home win over Consti Club C. Paul Faulkner hit a 180 for the visitors, while Jordan Philpott checked out on 102. Faulkner and Josh Faulkner also combined for an 18-dart leg.

Royal Mail Cart’s record now stands at eight wins from eight games, with 135 points scored and 81 against. Consti Club C is third with four wins from eight matches.

Elsewhere in Division A, Services Club B earned a much-needed 20-7 away victory at Kirton Leisure. Mark Ledger claimed Kirton’s only singles win, beating Tony Clark 2-1, while Dave Norbury and Ady Smith both hit 180s for Services Club B.

The remaining Division A fixture between Consti Club C and Tigers Club was postponed. The table shows Tigers Club fourth with four wins from six matches, while Services Club B is fifth with two wins from seven.

Green Dragon stages Division B comeback

Green Dragon Z came from 9-12 down to beat Drayman’s Arms B 15-12 at home in Division B. Kieran Day began the recovery with a 119 finish, and Callum Day also won 3-0 to complete the comeback.

Phil Newton hit a 180 for Drayman’s Arms B, while Kev Newton and Jake Harris recorded a 17-dart leg in the pairs.

Consti Club B closed the gap to the leaders after winning 16-11 away at Drayman’s Arms Q. The side has two games in hand over Green Dragon Z and is 13 points behind. Stu Ewins hit a 104 finish in his pairs game with Matt Broderick, which also featured an 18-dart leg.

Lincoln Arms D stayed in contention for a top-two finish with an 18-9 home win over Pinchbeck FC A. Luke Rhodes and Stacey Banister both hit 180s for Lincoln, while Tracey Baldwin hit a 180 and added a 17-dart leg for Pinchbeck FC A.

Division C had only one fixture. Green Dragon C beat bottom side Drayman’s Arms A 21-6, with Chris Reynolds the visitors’ only singles winner. Lincoln Arms C also recorded a 16-0 win over Pinchbeck FC C after a walkover.

The final place in the third round of the Knockout Cup was settled earlier in the week, when Consti Club C beat Green Dragon A 6-3. Scott Williams hit a 180, a 146 checkout and an 18-dart leg for Green Dragon, while Jacob Herd hit a 171 for Consti. Paul Faulkner added a 17-dart leg and Jordan Philpott produced a 12-dart leg.
