Holbeach United’s Football Education and Academy centre is celebrating a strong set of results after 21 learners completed its BTEC Level Three National Extended Diploma in sports coaching and development.
The centre, which runs education courses alongside its football and academy work, said the learners achieved a mixture of distinctions, merits and passes. Fifteen of the 21 students secured full distinctions across the course.

Holbeach United’s Football Education and Academy centre runs BTEC Level Three National Extended Diploma courses. Its most popular course is sports coaching and development, combining education with the football-focused activities provided by the club.
Dan Lester, the club’s director and head of education, said the results reflected both the learners’ work and the support they received from staff.
“We are extremely proud of the Class of 2026.
“While football and sport are a huge part of what we do, we have always wanted Holbeach United FEA to be recognised for the quality of its education and the opportunities we create beyond the pitch.
“These results are a reflection of the work of our learners and the commitment of our education and support staff.
Further maths and English certificates
The centre also received another batch of certificates for learners who successfully achieved Level Two Functional Skills qualifications in maths and English. The source article says further certificates were still expected to arrive.
Those qualifications are described as GCSE-equivalent and are intended to support the learners’ next steps towards employment, higher education and future careers.
