Young history enthusiasts in Spalding and the surrounding area will have another chance to investigate the past this autumn as the Spalding Gentlemen’s Society brings back its History Hunters activity club.
The programme returns after a summer break and is designed for curious children aged five and over. The club uses hands-on activities to help participants uncover intriguing facts, learn new skills, solve puzzles and take on challenges.
Three autumn sessions planned
The first session, A Grave Experience, will take place at Pinchbeck Church on Sunday 27 September 2026. It will be followed by Fenland Folklore and Legends at Spalding Baptist Church on Sunday 25 October and Sunday 22 November.
All three sessions begin at 1.30pm. Places cost £3 per child, and the organisers say the activities also offer children the opportunity to make new friends and achieve badges.
Spaces available for more families
Louisa Evans, an organiser from the Spalding Gentlemen’s Society, said History Hunters had already brought together children who enjoy finding out more about the past. The group has space for a few more families to join the new season.
